Information of East Coast Expressway Phase 2 (ECE2) Project
Lebuhraya Pantai Timur Fasa 2 Project is part of the East Coast Expressway(ECE2) connecting Kuala Lumpur to the East Coast State Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan.
The highway is design as a 4 lane dual carriageway with a design speed of 120 km/h. Phase 2 start at Jabur and end at Kp. Gemuruh, 20 km to city of Kuala Terengganu.
The government divided the highway into 12 packages. Package 10 was awarded to MTD under LLM. The highway length for Package 10 is 79 kilometer. The main alignment form Bukit Besi to Bukit Payong is 63.3 km in length with design speed of 120 km/h and Bukit Payong to Spur Road is 15.7 km with design speed of 90 km/h.
The project duration is 30 months commencing from 18 September 2006 to 17 March 2009.
